DEP & Acrobat 8
The problem first appeared over the Easter weekend and I am not sure whether it is down to Microsoft update or any other cause.Soon after I start Adobe Acrobat 8 it is being shut down, by what I suspect is Vista DEP feature. I looked at the Reliability monitor and there is no reference to Acrobat application crashing. Unfortunately I cannot allow the Acrobat.exe to be excluded from the DEP protection as it is claimed that it is an essential protection and can't be run without.I trying repairing the installation of Acrobat, yet to no avail. So I'd like to ask if somebody has come over this problem before, or/and if there are any solutions out there.I'm running:Vista UltimateHP Pavilion P4 3.2GHz1GB RAM, plus Ready boost 2GB Corsair Flash Voyager GT(The problem occurs with and without the RB flash memory)

Not exactly true...It does...with limitations, as per these notes http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=333780 Anyway, I have resolved the issue now, by reinstalling the package completely. DEP is not triggered anymore.

For the sake of an argument... It seems that you are here very defiant of MS software and are over-cautious not to say something that somebody who is too quick to litigate could use to their benefit. However, it is my conviction that most users want an answer that might even only partially shed some light on the problem. If I use my problem as an example, rather than quoting that it DOES NOT work, it would be better to say it does but there are still bugs that need to be ironed out. Because, I've not yet come across one yet... despite the fact that you programmers out there probably know of some.I've read a few more contributions here and there, where a definite NO is spelled out, yet PERHAPS would be a better answer.Let's try to work on a solution to problems not on obstacles to finding them...

You might want to brush up on the differences between "not supported" and "not functional" I've been using 8.1 for about 3 months now without issue - Last batch of Microsoft patches (read: bug-of-the-month-club) broke it and now I too am reinstalling to try and fix it. Annoying at best.
