Hi, Firstly, please make sure that your IIS Web Server and Windows Server 2008 R2 are in the same subnet. Hope this helps. Jeremy Wu TechNet Community Support

Jeremy Can you go into further details on your answer, If one is in the 192.168.0 range does the other have to be as well for Dcom to work ? Thank you Mike Oltedal

Hi Mike, Based on my knowledge, if two computers want to communicate with each other, they should in the same subnet at least or you have configured correct IP routing in your router. If you have not configured special IP routing and if your IIS Server IP address is 192.168.0.1 and subnet mask is 255.255.255.0, your Windows Server IP address also should be in the 192.168.0 range. And unless the subnet mask is 255.255.0.0, can 192.168.0 range communicate with 192.168.1 range. Therefore, firstly, please ensure that your IIS Server and your Windows Server can ping each other successfully. For more information, please refer to IP address Subnetwork If issue persists, please refer to Securing a Remote WMI Connection and check your DCOM settings. Hope this helps.
