I assume you mean DBXtract and DBXpress? I am not sure as that is not the intention of the program. Try another approach. Is Folders.dbx among these dbx files?Do you still have a machine with Outlook Express on it? Can you copy these dbx files to the Desktop? If yes to both of the above, manually import the dbx files into OE. Do the following for each dbx file one at a time.Open OE and create a folder with the *exact* same name as the one on the Desktop. Open the new folder and then close OE. (You must do this). Go to Windows Explorer and locate the Message Store folder for your OE identity, but don't open it. Click on the Desktop and drag the file from the Desktop in the right hand pane to the OE store folder in the left pane. Prompt - "Do you want to overwrite......."? Click Yes.*Note* If you have moved the Outlook Express store folder from it's default location on drive C to another drive, drag the dbx file to a location on that drive and not the Desktop. How I got into this mess......I had 7 folders on my desk top . These were used to keep private stuff from different folksThey were starting to get full so I tried to burn them to a cd (total of 410 messages)successfulySomehow I moved them to m.s. outlook which I do not use but is part of m.s. office 2000 and tried to open the folder there. In the help app for outlook it says that it does not accept dbx file or folder as part of it's app. I use only word and pps in that group. I use o.e as my mail app. I tried to use various things to open it back in O.E and note pad tried but said the file was to large to open(649961 kb)( I agree it's huge)That is the point where I thought a program such as DBX Express and became unsure which way to go..At 79 years old things got confusing so here I am not knowing wheather to forget the whole thing but decided to ask for help.Still have the cd infront of me and it is laughing at me....Heck of a story.......Jack

You will never be able to open these files in Outlook or Notepad. If you can copy the dbx files to the Desktop, my solution should work. See this as well. How to restore individual dbx fileshttp://www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#imp1 Bruce HagenMS-MVP Oct. 1, 2004 ~ Sept. 30, 2010Imperial Beach, CA
