Custom Mapping of Sound Output Channels
I want to set up my audio so that I have four output channels active - three for 5.1 surround and the last one for headphone sound, so I can switch from speakers to headphones by just turning off the speakers. Before I switched to Windows 7, I was able to do this with a 3rd party sound type program that came with the driver for my sound card, and worked even after the sound card was removed (I'm using the default sound output). I can't reinstall that program because the installation wizard stops me when it detects the lack of sound card. A third party program to do this would satisfy me, but it would be great to be able to do this in the default Windows sound configurations panel, or even more complicated stuff in the registry or some such
