Cursor messed up when using VPN & RDP
My cursor on the REMOTE computer fails to work properly. It appeas as a "box" of colors and fails to "activate" the item I wish to click on (it is below and to the right of the "targeted" item I wish to click on). This just started happening on my win 7 laptip, and has been happening with my Win XP for some time. The computer I'm accessing is XP. All serviceacks are installed on all machines. I am establishing a VPN into my office network, and themn RDP to the computer at my office desk. Thank you!

Hi Cranes, Thanks for the post! How about directly use the remote desktop connection without the VPN? In addition, this issue could happen if you use incompatible mouse cursors or Aero theme conflicting on RDP session. Open the Control Panel\Ease of Access\Ease of Access Center\Make the mouse easier to use, select the Regular mouse pointers. Disable the Aero theme as well to check if the issue persists.
