Cursor corrupted by pivot table drags
Hello. I have a problem in Excel 2010 using the drag-and-drop method of building pivot tables. After the first instance of dragging a field object/icon into an area on the pivot table grid, the cursor stays partially in the form it had when dragging the object. That is, there are parts of the "dragging" cursor still visible though the "main" cursor changes to the cross or an insert bar depending on the position. This cursor persists into other Office applications and even into Acrobat Reader X. The only way I've found to restore the cursor is to restart the PC. I can build a pivot table by right-clicking over the objects/icons and using the commands on the context menu without causing the cursor problem. It seems that the problem is isolated to the drag-and-drop method. Any ideas on the cause or the fix? Here is my info. Thanks! I have an HP Compaq 8000 Elite SFF PC running 4 GB Ram and a 232 GB HD with 171 GB free. My monitor is an HP L1740 LCD with driver 2.20.0.0 (most current) running in normal resolution at 60 Hz refresh rate. The video adapter is an Intel Q45/Q43 Express chipset with driver 8.15.10.2302 (most current0. OS is Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit. Office suite is MS Office 2010 SP 1 (version 14.0.6023.1000)

I should add that I ran Repair on Office a couple of times with no resolution of the problem. Thanks.
