Credentials aren't saved for mapped drives
I have a network drive mapped to X: and everytime I reboot Win7 I have to type the username and password again even though I clicked to save the password. Is there a fix for this?

I too am looking for such a fix. As yet, no solution has been forthcoming. None that has worked for me anyway.

here is a little workaround from WinXP days. I use it because WinXP doesn't show the desktop until the network drive is mounted.net use x: "\\servername\share" /persistent:no /user:username password"EDIT:check my next post where I better solution is posted

found a better solution than the one I posted.Go to UserAccounts and under Manage your credentials you enter your server's name, username and password and all works then.ps. this issue is also present on WinVista. I think M$ intended it so.

Doesnt work for me unfortunately, first thing, my \\server\ is not password protected. Secondly, Vista does not seem to forget my mapped drives....Win7 does, it keep trying to connect to \\Server\ within my own machine without looking on the network which obv. doesn't exist. Very odd, but Win7 is so stable I only restart it on a rare occasion, so it isnt a big problem.
