Creative Wireless Music issue in Windows 7
I downloaded the RC and have installed it and love the look and feel. I do have an issue I can't seem to get past. I'm trying to get my Wireless Music (Soundblaster) to work on W7. So far no luck. My original issue was I couldn't address the receiver via the USB connection either by manually assigning the address or via obtaining on automatic address. The other issue at this time was when I'd start the media server program it would be running on 127.0.0.1 instead of the actual Ip of the computer (on XP it ran on the computer's IP).Thinking I had clicked on an answer to the install incorrectly I removed the whole works and started over. After reinstalling the software and the subsequent reboot, when I plugged in my receiver it recognized the name I had assigned it from my XP setup. I thought I had it made until it wouldn't let me configure it because the network wasn't ready, which is where I am at now.I have it manually assigned an address under XP, and when I run the ipconfig command it lists that address as first of three DNS servers. It doesn't show up that way in XP.Any suggestions to possibly resolve would be greatly appreciated.Additional information uncovered last night:After more trial and error I changed from Homegroup to a Work network. That didn't help. I'm able to ping the receiver from the Windows 7 computer as well as the other two computers (XP) connected to my network, yet the Media server program continues to run on 127.0.1.1 instead of the computers actual IP address as it does on XP.I even tried to manually assign an address to the Windows 7 computer, but that didn't help either. A curious item I discovered while trying different things was that in the Nedwork panelit showed the computer, and a media device. Checking the properties for the device revealed tat it was Windows Media Player 12 running on ip address 127.0.0.1!After updating the Creative media server driver software I ended up getting a network not ready error. After uninstalling the program and reinstalling without the updated software driver I as able to get the progrma to load although it runs on the 127.0.0.1 address.I also installed Real Player and later discovered in the network panel that I now have two media devices, one which is the Windows media player and the other I assume is the real player (it was listed under an odd name) which was also running on 127.0.0.1.I'm totally befuddled now. Creative wasn't much help other than sending me a link to updated drivers for Windows Vista which of course doesn't include the Wireless music system.I also compared registry entries between XP and Windows 7. Both compare equally especially as far as firewall settings. Is there a setting to change in Windows as far it's IP address? I find it odd that Media player as well as Real Player also show up as running on 127.0.0.1.Thanks

Sorry I don't have an answer for you, but I'm interested if you ever got this working. I have been using Creative Wireless Music on XP Professional for years and I now want to upgrade to Windows 7. I really don't want to give up Creative Wireless Music since it rocks... so I won't upgrade to Windows V7 unless I know it will work. Please reply if you have figured out how to make this work with the info. Thanks!
