Honestly with as much issues as you are experiencing I would back up my data to an external and do a fresh OS install. It sounds as if more of the system is corrupted and the profile re-build was a bandaid in comparison. Most new machines come with a restore partition built in. I would not beat arround the bush and pull the trigger on an OS reinstall. As to McAfee it does not always locate malware. Its primary resposibility is to Virus detection. Granted updated databases include malware but running malwarebytes will ensure it.

I got frustrated and re-installed windows around 11:30 Am today and was frustrating but learning lessons sometimes are. before doing that i had done a Windows easy transfer, the problem i think that i am running into is that this is a transfer of a transfer of a transfer so on and so forth. of so many times now i cant remember.
