When I try to create a system image windows 7 professional using the link on the left hand pane the program starts and then I get a message which says I get the following message in a box The back up failed There is not enough disk space to create volume shadow copy on the storage location --------- Recommended: At least 1 GB of free disk space on each volume if volume size is more than 1 GB ( 0X80780119). When I look at Disk Mangment : The system Reserved is 100 MB capacity with 38MB Free. I'm trying to back up onto a exetrenal hard drive which has 800 GB free space. rr2000

Make sure the external hard drive is picked in your options. Sounds like its trying to back up to your internal drive.
