Create a bootable recovery cd
My pc is getting long in the tooth. Software was preloaded when I bought it. I bought a 1TB external HD and did a backup. The system runs slower than I think it should, so I want to do the dreaded format c:\ and clean all the slow-down dust bunnies out of there. I beieve I have a drive d:\ partitioned in there, somewhere. So I need some fatherly advice. I imagine I should be able to dump everything on the external drive, reboot the system with the new cd and selectively restore what I want. Is this oversimplification? BTW, I learned how to fix computers in 1961. I also do not fear the DOS prompt!1 person needs an answerI do too
