Corrupted Magneto-Optical Disk
Dear Sir or Madame:I have a Fujitsu magneto-optical disk drive and several magneto-optical disks. While one of these disks was in the computer I forgot to remove it before turning the computer off. Up to that point the disk had been working all right. I immediately turned the computer back on and tried to remove that disk but I could not except by means of the emergency mechanical removal, which involves inserting a pin into a small hole on the disk drive. Since then the drive has been unable to recognize or read that disk and the disk cannot be removed by the software eject or by the eject button. It can only be removed by the emergency mechanical removal. A different magneto-optical disk I tried worked all right. The information on first disk must have been corrupted and made unreadable. Is there any way to fix the problem or erase the corrupted information and restore the disk to normal working order? Regards Peter Dooling1 person needs an answerI do too
