Corrupted Inbox, restore or save messages?
My computer experienced a problem when I was compressing my Inbox in Outlook Express. Not realizing it was not fully compressed and possibly corrupted, I did a defrag of my system. Currently I cannot access messages that were in my Inbox prior to May 2008 (I have an old mail folder that has data from when I started online in 1999 to late 2001).1) Can I recover any messages that used to show in the Inbox and are now possibly corrupted?2) If not, I want to have the Inbox with just those messages that are showing. How can I get those messages saved to another location, delete the original Inbox folder and create a new one and put the messages back so that any corrupted data that I cannot save will be deleted?1 person needs an answerI do too

retrofan42, Thanks for posting. There are third party applications that can repair your DBX files. If this does not work you should contact your mail provider to see if any other recovery options are available to you. Hope this helps!
