You are going to have to provide more info than that to get any help. What shortcuts is this happening to? Is this a recent occurrence? If so, have you installed or removed any software recently? Can you provide a screen shot so we can see the problem? You can use the Snipping Tool under Accessories to do this. Upload the image to a file sharing site like Photobucket.com, then come here and use the HTML tool here, to add a line like this: <img src=xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> where xxxxxxxxxxxxxx is the URL of the file on the site you uploaded it to. Hope that makes sense. If not I can provide more explicit instructions or one of the other folks here can do so. Also, using your question as a search term in Google gets a lot of hits. Some of them may provide the answer you need. fix corrupted shortcuts on Desktop in windows 7 Rich

Hi,When did this occur for the first time? Does every desktop icon encounter the issue? In Safe mode load the VGA driver instead of your advanced display card. From the symptom, it is likely your display card driver encounter issues. What is the model of your PC and display card? Install the latest graphic card driver as a test first.Follow the steps below to capture a screenshot:Screenshot=========1. Press PrintScreen (PrScrn) to capture a screenshot. 2. From Start, enter MSPAINT in the Open box, and then click "OK". 3. Use Ctrl + V to paste the screen shot to the canvas. 4. From the File menu, go to Save and save as a JPG file on the Desktop. 5. Please upload the JPG file to SkyDrive and provide us the link for analyzing http://cid-4b2f155953942dc9.skydrive.live.com/summary.aspx The above Windows Live ID is ONLY for collecting troubleshooting information.
