Corrupt/Missing Files
This morning I tried to access a video from my 360 that was shared on my W7 RC install and I got an error. I tried to open the folder that had the video on the PC and all I could get was access denied. Checking the permissions everything seemed fine except the owner was unknown. After mucking around a bit I was able to get inside the folder however all files in the folder are gone. The recycling bin on the drive was also corrupt. A Check Disk on the drive returned no errors. Using a undelete program no trace of the files could be found. The only "funny" thing I would have done would have been related to a bug with media sharing with the 360. To keep the 360 from listing videos twice I found it necessary to create an empty folder add it to the WMP12 library and then move files to that directory and let WMP12 discover them. If I add a folder with files inside to the WMP12 library all videos were being listed on the 360 twice. Anyone else has had files just go missing?
