Copy from server to client with Microsoft Vista
Hello, I'm new here so I hope my question is in the right place!I have a problem copying files from a Microsoft Windows 2003 server to a client with Microsft Windows Vista. At first, the copying goes correctly but when it reaches 85% it suddenly stops, the proces has been cancelled and nothing is copied to my client. The client doesn't give any errors, so I can't search those. This very same problem I had with other clients in my network, but after adjusting the NVLM-settings in the "LAN Manager Authentication Level" to "Send LM & NVLM with NVLM2-support" they all worked properly. But that change has no effect on this client.Who can help me?? If someone needs any additional information, please let me know!Greetings, PhreakingDokus

Hi, Thank you for posting. Based on my research, I would like to suggest trying the following narrow down the issue: 1. Boot the problematic Windows Vista machine to Safe Mode with networking and check if you can reproduce the issue. 2. Disable the SNP on the Windows Server 2003. You may refer to: The Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Scalable Networking Pack release http://support.microsoft.com/kb/912222 If the issue persists, please also help us collect the following information for our further research: 1. Capture the network packet 1) Download NetMon3.3 from the following website and install it on the computer http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=983b941d-06cb-4658-b7f6-3088333d062f 2) Logon with you Administrator account and launch NetMon3.3. 3) In the Microsoft Network Monitor 3.3 window, click Create a new capture tab 4) In the new tab, select all the Network Adapters in the Select Networks window. 5) After that, press F10 to start NetMon. 6) Try to re-produce the problem. 7) Go back to the NetMon window and press F11 to stop the NetMon. Please use Windows Live SkyDrive (http://www.skydrive.live.com/) to upload the file and share its URL with us. 2. Check the event log to see if there are any related errors. Hope this helps. Thanks.
