Copy and pasting emoticons
I need to be able to paste emoticons stored in the clipboard and have them appear as emoticons.
Currently they paste as raw text. How can I fix this?

It sometimes works if you're using emoticons used by Skype such as (sun). I can paste into WordPad and copy back and it seems to work, but notepad doesn't. But yeah, the formatting can get messed up and it can get lost in translation. I don't believe there's much you can do about this unfortunately.

I guess you should follow following steps
1] Try: set-csclientpolicy -DisableEmoticons $Null instead of $False
2] Check HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Lync
ShowEmoticons should be set to 1 to enable.
Thanks
