Cookie ATDMT, how to get rid of it?
The notorious traking cookie "atdmt" sneaks in. How can I stop it? It appears right after booting Win-7, even if I leave LAN cable disconnected, strangely. Sounds like this one started after I introduced the Live Messenger which I needed. Any help appreciated. Tak

Hi Tak,If you have the "Atdmt", you can try theSpyHunter Scanner to detect traking cookie. And you can refer to the following link to remove Atdmt.http://www.spywareremove.com/removeAtdmt.htmlI hope this would help you. John

Thanks, John, but,,, I do not have any problem detecting it, nor removing it when I want. Problem is: Windows Live Messenger and/or Live Mail forces to build in the notorious cookie atdmt without user's awaremess. I cannot stop it sneaking in unless I uninstall the messenger. The atdmt gets in and stays there until I kick out occasionally using SpyHunter or Ad-Aware. My question is: "How to stop it sneaking in", (not detecting or removing.) Any suggestion is appreciated.

You take care of it this way Tools-->Internet Options-->Privacy-->AdvancedIf needed, put a check at "Override automatic cookie handling".Set Third-party Cookies to "Block".and there you goMCSE, MCSA, MCDST

It was and is blocked. As noted, this cookie gets in at Win7 starts. Not by internet activity. (LAN cable disconnected) It is the result of start-up of Microsoft Live Mail/Messenger program. Any other suggestion?

OK, Seems there is no way to block the cookie. I want to close this thread. I consider that removing Live Mail/Messenger is the practical solution.
