Conversation History folder twice in Outlook

Hello

We have the following problem, we found out that 300 of our 600 Lync enabled test-users have the folder conversation history twice in their mailbox

The folder types are User Created and CommunicatorHistory

New conversations are stored in the folder which the type CommunicatorHistory but the User Created folder has also old conversations stored

Currently we are not able to reproduce this situation we are still searching

We have Lync 2010 CU8 and Exchange 2010 SP2/RU6 in a resource/user forest

Anyone has an idea?

Hi,

It could possibly due to outlook folder count, can you check following article and reset outlook folder ?

Thanks

Currently there are 300 user affected by this problem - about 200 of them also have items in that folder, we cant delete them. Anyway we are also not allowed to modify objects in a user mailbox.

The 600 test-users are just in the pilot phase, at the end there will be ~15.000 users

This ist he reason why i need more information, how this could happen, and how we could prevent this.

Resetting outlook folder hasnt solved our issue

It also cant be the outlook folder count in our Q-System which has the same configuration we have the same problem  the only difference is, that there is no user data in the mailboxes.

When did this issue happen? Have you had two conversation history folders at the beginning?

Use the tool MFCMAPI to check the conversation history folder. You can delete the folder using the tool MFCMAPI.

Double click MFCMapi executive file, click session Logon and Display Store Table, double click the email address, then you can found all the folders created in exchange server.

We dont know how this happens all our attempts to reproduce the creation of 2 folders failed

User can delete the folder by themselves.

The main question still is how to reproduce this, and how to prevent this.
