Constantly having to reset router to access internet
I have 3 wired PC's. 1 XP and 2 Vistas SP2. I use a Linksys wrtp54g, firmware 5.01.04. I don't have any internet connection issues with my XP box. My 2 vistas are a different story. 1 vista, everytime I wake it up, I have to reset the the network adaptor, and works fine. 2nd vista, i always have to reset my router to get it to connect to the internet (only connects to local internet). I called gateway and we uninstalled and reinstalled the network adaptor, no help. they told me to contact my ISP, I don't think it's their problem, gotta be in vista. Any ideas?4G

I am having the same problem. Every re-boot, I have to disable / enable my network adapter. I wonder if my network adapter is not compatible with Vista, but I'm not sure how to check.

Click Device Manager. 3. Navigate to your network adapter , right click it and choose Properties. 4. Choose Power Management tab. 5. Please assure Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power is unchecked. Then, please test this issue again.
