Constant blue screens when using the Internet
I have being running Windows 7 Home edition for three days now and in that time I have probably experienced about 30 blue screens. It always seems to happen when I have a browser open and am either downloading a file or have multiple browser windows open. I am using a PC which has run Vista and XP with no problems for a couple of years. I did have Avast anti-virus running and read that this might cause problems and have since moved to AVG but am still having the problem. I have had this problem using IE and Chrome.

I have just run the debugger on the crash dump (first time I ever did this!) and got the following info... Probably caused by : WG111Tv.sys ( WG111Tv+3fc7e ) This being my wireless networkadapterdriver. SoamI right in assuming that the WG111T network adapter is incompatible with Windows 7? If so, what can I do to fix this?

I suggest uninstalling the wireless driver and reinstall again using vista compatible mode as in followingif it doesn't allow you to boot into windows due to blue screen, try accessing it through safe mode

I think it will show the offending component most of the time. And if you submit that crash information to Microsoft (right click on the report, check for solution), you might get a message back pointing you to an updated driver.Want to know if your current hardware & software will work with Windows 7? Hi Iamgyuster,According to Microsoft Windows 7 Compatibility Center (Netgear WG111T 108Mbps USB 2.0 Wireless Network Adapter) and Netgear official website (NETGEAR Product compatibility for Microsoft Windows 7), this product should be worked with Windows 7. Please try to download the latest driver rom Netgrar to resolve this issue. Hope it helps. Thanks.

Robinson - I don't see a mention of this device on the Netgear page you referenced. Am I missing it?iamguyster - Looking at the page for that product, I see that it was released in 2004, and they provided XP drivers, but never a driver for Vista. To me, this doesn't look like it's a currently supported product. You'd have to follow up with Netgear to confirm that though.http://kb.netgear.com/app/products/model/a_id/2559Want to know if your current hardware & software will work with Windows 7? Robinson - I don't see a mention of this device on the Netgear page you referenced. Am I missing it? No, I also haven't found it. I suspect this belong to Other NETGEAR adapters in the name list. Also, I notice following video guide, hope it helps. Installation WG111T unter Windows 7Please Note: Since the website is not hosted by Microsoft, the link may change without notice. I took a look on the Netgear site and noticed that whilst other adapters are supported under Win 7, the one I have isn't. For now, I have slung a cable down the stairs from my router to the PC, and am considering two options. 1) Pin the cable neatly and go with this (though my wife is not happy about having cables run all over the house!) 2) Buy a new adapter That said, I'm willing to give the guide suggested by Robinson a go, to see if I can save myself a few quid not having to buy a new adapter. Thanks for the responses. They are greatly appreciated.
