Connection status icon problem
Hi, I would like to ask a question on network connection. Following an Internet article I turned dozens of Vista services to boost machine performance and it indeed worked as expected. But one change I have noticed is that I could no longer see the network connection status indicator changing its apperance according to the connection status. The screenshot is here: https://sl9zbq.blu.livefilestore.com/y1plofgu8Rz3rPmjth6jxjOeHxr5XUBXL36obNj6uiBIFz0B0k6aJPb28bjyl8V4apbrM8W59dxYRsU0UIdij-ve5O_SKlxOk9r/connection%20service.png?psid=1 The message says that the service cannot be started. What is the service this require? Thanks, Bob

Hi, From the description, you must disable services that network based on. Which services are disabled? In Windows Vista, the troubleshooter tool can help you determine which services should be enabled. Regards,Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Dear Magon, I restored the system to an earlier time point and the problem was resolved. I didn't try to identify the exact service for that. Bob
