Connecting to Direct Access Client from Corporate Network

Hi,

Apologies for my lack of IPv6 knowledge in advance but here is the issues I am having.

We have just implemented Direct Access on a 2012 R2 Server and deployed it on to some Windows 8 laptops.

The direct access clients are working fine, we can access the network without any problems and email is working etc. However a few end users need to connect back on to their laptops from the network. I can ping the clients fine from the Direct Access  management server and remote on to them but I can not ping them or RDP to them from any other servers or PCs.

I checked our DNS server and the IPV6 address is registered for those clients with a AAAA record however it isn't even resolving the IP let alone ping. Eventually what we want to do is RDP to the laptop, I have found a few articles pertaining to DA on Server 2008 however they don't have resolutions.

I think it has something to do with routing on the IPv6 network and our "local" IPv6 site doesn't know how to route to the IPv6 site used by Direct Access, but I am not sure.

Has anyone come across this before and know a way round this?

Thanks in advance

David
