Connecting extender to W7 media center
hi, installed W7 on my Thinkpad T42 in which there are wireless as well as a cabled network card. I have setup the Media Center on the thinkpad which connects fine to my XBOX360 when I am using the wireless network adapter. If I disable the wireless adapter and use the cabled adapter (and faster adapter)the XBOX360 isn't available to see the Media Center. Are there any settings on the network card that has to be enabled in order to connect to the Media Center correctly or is it a W7 bug of some kind. regardsMartin

Hi1. Check whether NIC driver is properly installed and enabled2. According to your LAN configuration it may be reuired to set TCP/IP settings manually

Hi, thanx for your quick reply. So, what you are suggesting is a manual setup of my IP address on that network connection? If I run a network diagnostics WIN7 reports an error of multiple NAT's on my network. I have no idea how to solve that, but I guess it could relate to this issue.regardsMartin
