Connecting 2 IPv6 Networks
If I am posting on the wrong forum I appologize. I was not sure where this should go... I have two Windows Vista Machines connected to a Windows Server Domain. The two machines are on different networks in the building (the IPv4 for each is 192.168.0.x and 192.168.1.x). Is there any way to get the IPv6 routing to see these systems together? The network setup is below. Windows Server is set inbetween the two seperate networks. Traffic from each network connects through the Windows server. on the IPv4, both networks can communicate with each other without any problems. On network A the windows server has a 192.168.0.x address. All desktops on A have the same address pool. Network B, the windows server has 192.168.1.x. All desktops, again, have the same address pool. When trying to connect IPv6 clients from network Aand network B the connection fails. Network A can connect to the windows server using the network A IPv6 address. network B, in turn can connect to the windows server using the network B IPv6 address. I am sure that the routing has to be set within the windows server I just don't know how to do it. Thanks for any help.

Hi Quilnux, Before we go further, I would like to confirm the following information with you: 1. What operating system is being used as the Router? 2. Is there a DHCPv6 server deployed in this environment? 3. What IPv6 addresses does the Windows Vista machines get? Is it possible to export the Windows IP Configuration in the current thread? In addition, Ive included some IPv6 related websites for your reference: IPv6 routing http://technet2.microsoft.com/windowsserver/en/library/5a528933-a78d-4588-8aa1-b158957ba2d51033.mspx?mfr=true IPv6 configuration methods http://technet2.microsoft.com/windowsserver/en/library/6c05c210-e5f9-4882-b760-d275a80f35091033.mspx?mfr=true IPv6 address autoconfiguration http://technet2.microsoft.com/windowsserver/en/library/5a528933-a78d-4588-8aa1-b158957ba2d51033.mspx?mfr=true IPv6 http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/network/bb530961.aspx Hope it helps.
