Connected to Internet but unable to browse
Hi, I am having an unusual internet connection problem with Windows 7. I am connected to the internet but when I try to browse the internet through a browser I am unable to connect to a website. Some of my applications can connect to the internet, IRC, Steam etc and according to Windows 7 my network is connected and fine. Other people on my network are able to connect to the internet. I am connected to the internet viaa router with an Ethernet connection and I have no problem browsing in Windows XP.

I find the solution in this page. you have to uncheck automatically detect settings in tools/internet options/connections/LAN settings

the DHCP settings on the router are ok !?Do you have more than one Firewall installed (norton 360 / Komodo Internet security and such ? )Also check the proxy and connection settings on IE and check them out if there are any just tell it to connect directly.Routing can also be done by spyware and such, make sure the machine is clean...

I am going to wait for the Release Candidate as it requires a fresh install. I shall see if it works after that.
