On my computer, it says im connected to the internet and im receiving and sending packages, but when i open a browser, it wont let me connect to any page, please tell me what i can do to fix this2 people need an answerI do too

My brother have this problem too there is internet connection in my laptop (vista) but he doesnt have on his pc (xp) and i tried all internet browser programs but there is no internet please help ( me and him are connected to the same DSL with cables not wireless)
