Configuration Manager won't store multiple Remote Desktop Usernames
I have an application that runs via Remote Destkop. The application has its own security that determines the access privileges for the user. The only difference between the usernames that people log on to the server with is to set their default network printers to whichever one they need to use. Some users sometimes need to default their printers to a remote location. In Windows XP I was able to get around this by saving multiple Remote Desktop Sessions to the same server with different usernames that defaulted to the specific printers, then create shortcuts to them on the destkop for the user. Under Windows 7, I am still able to create the 2 Remote Desktop sessions, but the Credential Manager only seems to remember one username at a time. When I log on with one, it changes the default username on every session that connects to that server. So far I have been able to get around this by saving one to log in with \\servername\username1 and saving the other as \\(IP of servername)\username2, but this will not work if a user is going to need a third login.
