Computer with xp sp3 can't connect to wpa network
I have a home network with seven computers, six laptops and one desktop. My network is wpa2. There is one laptop on my network that messes up the whole network, it can only connect to either an unsecured or we network (but the hardware and firmware says that it should support both wpa and wpa2). So I can either have a no/low security network in my home or a network with every computer except one online (and that computer happens to be my dads, so its important for that computer to be online). The computer that won't connect is running windows xp sp3 and has a d-link wna-1330 network adapter. The xp sp3 copmuter recognizes the network, but not the fact that it is a wpa network. Please help me in constructing functioning network.1 person needs an answerI do too

HiWindows ability to recognize what a card can do comes from reading the Drivers. If the Drivers do not have an entry for wpa/wpa2, Windows has no way to know what to do.Thus as said above, try the recent Drivers. However D-Link does not make this card any more (originaly it was only WPA), so there might Not be any recent drivers. http://www.dlink.com/support/products/Wireless cards are not expensive these days, I think you should consider buying a new card many $20 cards do very well. This is a good card (because of the Antenna).http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833166022 Jack, MVP-Networking.
