I have a Dell Inspiron XPS laptop with Windows XP Professional installed. It will not restart. When I click on start>turn off computer>shut down, the computer shuts down as normal. If I click on start>turn off computer>restart, the computer stops at the screen Windows is shutting down and never shuts down or restarts. I have to manually turn it of and back on. It does the same thing when software or updates are installed that require a restart. I have done a clean reinstall, and this did not change anything. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what might be the problem?1 person needs an answerI do too
