Computer showing two networks and cannot connect to DNS server.
Last night i had connected my xbox directly to my modem because that was the only way i could connect to my friend and be in the party as him. When i went to plug my modem back into my router and now my computer will not connect wirelessly to my modem. I get a "cannot connect to dns server message" when i try and diagnose the problem through windows. I went to reset my router and now it shows linksys and linksys two as networks. i have tried all the ipconfig commands in cmd and whenever i do ipconfig renew i get a message saying "no operation can be performed on wireless netowrk connection 2 while it has its media disconnected. I have no idea what else i can do.

Hi, 1 Please use troubleshooter in Window 7 first: · Click Start>Help & Support. · Type in Cannot Connect to Primary DNS Server. · Select Troubleshoot Network & Internet Connection Problems. 2 Click Start, Run, CMD to open a command prompt. Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults: netsh winsock reset catalog Reset TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ip reset reset.log Reboot the machine. 3 Register DNS via command: ipconfig /flushdns ipconfig /registerdns 4 Reinstall network card and wireless card drivers Hope that helps.
