When I shut down my computer it will restart on its own after a few minutes of being shut off completely. I have used Norton Internet Security 2009 to try and find a virus that may be causing the problem but none is detected. I am running XP Professional Service pack 3. Some of the time I have to use the power shut down button to shut it down. this has been going on for several months. After power button shut down it will not restart on it own, but then I have to go through setup when I want to use it the next time. I am running a ASUS P4P800 deluxe mother board with Intel P4 2.4gig processor with 1 gig of ram I have a temperature sensor inside the computer case I have a new PC Power and Cooling Power Supply as well as a PC Power & Cooling Tower Case. While in setup I am not observing any abnormal temperatures or voltages the fans are new with in the last year as well as the power supply.1 person needs an answerI do too
