Hello,
I'm experiencing random freezes in Windows 8.1.
This is the last even recorded by my system,
DistributedCOM ID 10010
The server (BF6C1E47-86EC-4194-9CE5-13C15DCB2001) did not register within required timeout
It's a fairly new computer and it has a clean install of Windows 8.1 on it.
I've installed the latest Windows and driver software for my hardware.
These are my specs
M/B :Gigabyte P67A-UD7-B3 (BIOS versie F7)
CPU :Intel i7 2600k
GPU :HD Radeon 6970 GDDR5 (2x 2 GB)
PSU :Corsair HX850
RAM :Corsair Vengeance 16 GB DDR3 (4 x 4 GB)
SPU :E-MU 1010 PCI (1616m) soundcard
OS :Windows 8.1 PRO_NL
I have some information that could be valuable in solving this problem.
I had two of the same video cards in my computer before, but after installing an extra PCI soundcard it, sometimes one of them didn't work.
It would either not show up in the device manager, or the device manager exclamation mark saying that there are no
resources left for the IRQ (or something simmilar like that)
I've tried to update the BIOS and reset it to its default values and installed a clean copy of Windows 8.1.
Nothing worked.
I later decided to remove the video card, it was an overkill anyway.
Since then it hasn't shown... but I experience hangs ups once in a while.
I have confirmed that the PCI sound card is working perfectly in Windows 8.1 on my old system.
I think it might have something to do with the IRQ, still.
Can someone please help me figure this out.
I need a stable computer for my home studio work.
Thanks in advance!
