Started with an Error which is preventing McAFee VISS from executing activate using vbscript. Script loads but call to DllUnregisterServer failes with error code 0x80004005. Have reloaded clean Vista OS, but hard drive still chashes, with various error messages including security software errors with software that isn't loaded. Western Digital diagnostics seem to say the WD5000AKKS 500gb drive is preforming properly. I am now trying to bring Vista to latest service pact, and have my fingers crossed that I can resolve the problem.

Hi, I believe the conflict between Vista and McAfee has nothing to do with corrupt hard drive. Or could you explain more details of how does this happen? Let us focus on the disk problem.
