Computer crashing/blue screen
My computer keeps crashing and I have no idea why, usually it crashes when it is locked and i'm not around, but I have been at it once and I saw the blue screen for a half second but I could not tell you what it said. I notice that it crashes
the most on the weekend when I am not around. after startup it says that Windows recovered from an unexpected shutdown but has no helpful reason or advice.
I thought heat might be an issue, so i took the cover off and put a large fan blowing in at low, no help
I tried checking on what was running on the weekend and microsoft security essentials was doing a scan so i moved it to a new day, no improvement.
All antivirus stuff is on and up to date.

do not run what squall said.
the dump file says the usb driver crashed. usbccgp.sys
what you should first do is make sure all drivers are up to date. Go to device manager and make sure their are no yellow checkmarks anywhere. Also try uninstalling the usb driver and letting windows recognize it again. Or downloading a new one from
the manufacturers website for your mobo.
If that doesn't fix it run memtest86 and see if there are any errors on your system relating to your memory. If you dont find any errors try just reseating (takin out and putting back in same slot. or a dif slot) the memory and see if
that fixes it.

Sounds like a hardware problem. You can run a live boot CD like the Ultimate Boot CD. That way the hard drive will not be used. If you still have the problem it is hardware related. You can then start testing the hardware to find which part is causing
the problem.

Hi,
I would like give you the following suggestions to try:
Make sure you have the latest driver for the deviceCheck for hard disk errors
(a)Open Computer by clicking the Start button , and then clicking Computer.
(b)Right-click the drive that you want to check, and then click Properties.
(c)Click the Tools tab, and then, under Error-checking, click Check now. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
To perform a thorough check, select Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors. This scan attempts to find and repair physical errors on the drive itself, and it can take much longer to complete.
To check for both file errors and physical errors, select both Automatically
fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors.
(d)Click Start.
3. Check for Memory problems
(a)Open Memory Diagnostics Tool by clicking the Start button , and then clicking
Control Panel. In the search box, type Memory, and then click
Diagnose your computer's memory problems. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
(b)Choose when to run the tool. If you choose to restart your computer and run the tool immediately, make sure that you save your work and close all of your running programs. The Memory Diagnostics Tool will run automatically when you restart Windows.
Hope this helps. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let me know.

I checked the drivers, and they were all ok, so I uninstalled and re-installed, I also unplugged the printer, and I disconnected the front USB ports, to see if that would make any difference, I still have to run the memory test but that will be next,
but so far No restarts but then again it sometimes won't do anything for a week

this might work but my issue only happens only once or twice a week and since I use my computer for work and I have to be able to get on in the middle of the night I don't really want to resort to this.

I didn't check the dump. If the system crashed in usbccgp.sys as Ang101 said, you may install the following hotfix to update the usbccgp.sys to the latest version. Then monitor if the problem persists.
