Compatibility of windows server 2008r2 with windows 8.1 plus MS office 2010

Dear all,

Quick question about compatibility of windows server 2008r2 with windows 8.1 plus MS office 2010.

The current status:

The domain server is WS2008r2, client is running winXP plus MS office 2010.

Can i upgrade all the work stations to windows 8.1 but the server and MS office remain unchanged?

Any compatibility issue i need to concern?

Thanks!

Hi,

Windows 8.1 is also listed as compatible with Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus, you can find more information in the compatibility site below:

Hi All,

I see, how about domain server (win server 2008) with windows 8.1, is it also compatible as well?

I afraid that there is any issue when i join the domain from win8.1.

Many thanks!!

Hi,

You can join Windows 8.1 to a Windows server 2008 (R2) domain.
