Check the registry on your computer for the IMAutoArchivingPolicy (in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Communicator) and see if it is set to 1

If it is 0, set it to 1 and restart communicator.

Hi

Please make sure you have installed the latest version of communicator.

I want to confirm if the option has been selected even the PIM section is grayed out.

Please try to repair Office to test the issue.

That setting is set, but it doesn't work still.

Tried reinstalling MOC 2007 but that didn't resolve the issue. Thanks this has resolved my issue as well. I have been fighting with this since upgrading from windows xp 32bit/ 2007 to windows764bit/ outlook 2010.
