Color Issues
After installing Windows 7 from Vista, on screen colors became intense leaning more towards vibrant red hues. The screen colors are really hot and not in a good way. Any solutions?

That is a strange symptom. I'd first check to make sure the monitor cables (if you're not on a laptop) are nice and tight/secure. Sometimes when VGA cables are loose they are missing part of the signal. Since this corresponds with your upgrade, it might also be a video card driver problem. Check Windows Update to see if updates are available, or possibly your manufacturer's website (they usually have a Drivers Download link on their support page). If those don't apply, use the Color Management control panel item, choose Calibrate Display on the Advanced tab. Finally, and I only just thought of this, but you might not be aware that Windows 7 renders its 'glass' color with a much brighter tone (especially when a window is not active). I was going to search for comparison screenshots on the web, but I don't think this is your issues, especially not since your issue is a red hue, not the Win7 blue. Good luck, let us know. If this was helpful, please vote by clicking the green triangle. If it solves the issue, click Propose as Answer. Thanks! Tools and apps listed in italic font can be found easily by searching that phrase in the Start menu.

Hello,If you are using a LCD monitor, try to perform a "Factory Reset" via Monitor's Menu. To determite whether this problem is caused display card driver or not, booting the computer to safe mode and see if the issue persists. If the problem still happens in Safe Mode, it may be caused by the monitor itself.Thomas77
