Code Error: 5006 : 0x80070002 in Installshield wizard - Windows 7
Good morning, I'm trying to install a game in Windows 7 and I get this error: "Code Error: -5006 : 0x80070002 Error Information: >SetupNew\setup.cpp (615) PAPP:Assassin's Creed II PVENDOR:Ubisoft (http://www.ubi.com) PGUID:8570BEE8-0CA3-4977-9AB1-80ED93F0513C $14.0.0.162 @Windows Vista Service Pack 0 (7600) Non IE/Netscape 38096.68" I think it is related to registry issues. I have read many things but I can't fix it. Any idea? Thanks, Larry

Hi, What is the game you want to install in Windows 7? Please go to the Windows 7 compatibility center to check if it is compatible with Windows 7. Windows 7 Compatibility: Software Programs & Hardware Devices: Find Updates, Drivers, & Downloads As a alternative, please try to install this program in compatible mode to check the result: Make older programs run in this version of Windows Hope it helps. Hi Alex, I'm trying to run Assassin's Creed 2. Windows 7 Compatibility says it is 100% compatible: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Details.aspx?type=Software&p=Assassin%27s%20Creed&v=Ubisoft&uid=&l=en&pf=0&pi=0&s=assassins%20creed&os=64-bit The second solution doesn't work either. Thanks you, Alberto
