Since you selected your own incomplete command as answer, I am not sure if it is still needed, but here you go with AD backup:

manage-bde -protectors -adbackup -?

Please note that your AD-Backup should start automatically without having to use a command if you enforce the related GPO:

Hello Ronald

I appreciate your confidence .

So what should I do after apply the policy to start the Encryption or it automatically start .

Regards

Sunny

If you enforce that policy, nothing will start automatically, it's only that when it starts (manual or through command line), then the recovery key will be automatically backed up.

To start it, you can use the aforementioned command

manage-bde -on C: -Password

or, in case of a tpm is in use

manage-bde -on C:

or manually.

So,

Dear please Read twice what I am replied to my Answer on which I marked as answer . Also read your reply you yourself are confused .

which is correct first one or second one .

Sorry, I see no confusion on my side. Both are correct.

Let me rephrase:

One thing is how to start encryption, the other is how to backup the recovery key to AD.

The backup can be enforced by that GPO. If that GPOs is active, you don't need to worry, it automatically backups.

The encryption start will need to be scripted or done manually.

you yourself mention it would start automatically and again you says it does not start automatically .

what is the difference between my marked answer and your reply .

Have you read my Question
