Closing an application
Is there any way to directly close any games, without closing from the task manager in windows 8 DP?

No, there is no way in UI which allows you to close a metro applications including the games.

yes, with Command prompt you can end any task you have By : taskkill /f /im "YourProgram.exe" to know your software Process type & PID in command prompt : tasklist Regards, MCP | MCTS | MCITP

I was also thinking about it but taskkill is an emergency command, not a way which should be application closed normally.

I think, that cmayukh wants to know how to end the games normally (like clicking on [x], esc, alt+f4, exit button etc.), so he does not need to close it using the emergency tools like task manager or taskkill. And from this end-user perspective, the metro apps and games are not closeable on demand.

Yes, MCCZ, i was thinking of normal termination of a process, because every time we have to go to desktop , then open task manager and then kill it. There should be a way in its final version.
