Closing TCP Sockets
Hello, I am hoping somebody may be able to help with this issue: - I would like to use a command line app to close active tcp connections on a particular port and have found an app call CurrPorts which does just that. Unfortunately we receive a message stating that we ust be logged in as an admin and the closing of the port has failed. This seems a little strange as the machine is logged in using the Administrator account and have also tried running the application as administrator. All firewalls / UAC etc are turned off. It seems windows wont let me close these ports, are there any settings which would prevent the closing of these connections?? Unfortunately looking up the process ID and this killing the process is not possible in our scenario as we are trying to kill a reducdant connection which is listed as a <non-existent> process via a batch file. Thanks in advance.
