Close Lync when click Close button

Hello,

Ill install the Lync 2010 on XenApp.

And on the XenApp, when I click to close Lync 2010, the program minimize and not close.

My question is: How do when i click on Close Button, the Lync 2010 close immediately?

I checked in Regedit and i not found any changes to do.

Thanks to all.

Regards,

Daniel Felipe.

Hi Daniel,

Can you check following ;

1.In Lync client, select the Tools > Options icon from RHS corner.
2.Select General tab.
3.check Minimize to the notification area instead of the task bar option.
4.Click OK.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Hi,Deniel,

Unfortunately, you can not exit Lync client with just clicking "X" on the top right, you should exit it with the following two ways

1)Go to the "File" menu, click on it to drop down the menu list, then click "Exit"

2)Right click on the Lync icon in the tool bar, then click "Exit"

Hi Daniel,

Window 7 do not allow to close Lynch permanently, instead it either minimize to task bar or notification area of task bar.

However the ultimate solution to get rid of Lync is right click on task bar and click "Start Task Manager".

Once Task manager is opened click on "Microsoft Lync" under application and click "End Task", this will close Lync.

This "unfortunate" feature is there by design, right? It makes Lync more "sticky", which MSFT hopes will lead us to use the product more frequently.

But rather it becomes an annoyance. When I ask my computer to quit something, I want it to quit, not second-guess my intentions.
