Chkdsk Utility
I have one question, where can I find the results for the chkdsk utility. Before I went to bed last night I ran the utility and checkboxed automatically fix file system errors and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors. I left it running overnight and I checked up on it when I woke up, but it didn't give me a report of how many bad sectors were found I already looked up in the event viewer and apparently it made no log for it. Any help is appreciated.

Look for an entry in the right side with a time and date that corresponds to the time that check disk ran. It shouldshow the following.Information - Date and Time - Source: Wininit - Event ID: 1001.If you want to save this report, double click this event to bring up the Details Window. At the lower / left corner of the details window, click the Copy Button. Open Notepad and Paste the results. If you don't want to save the report, you can simply read it in the lower section of the Event Viewer.Hope this helps.Thank You for using Windows 7 Ronnie Vernon MVP
