Checking for DMA mode vs. PIO mode
I'm having inconsistent problems burning music onto CDRs and was advised to make sure my burner drive is in DMA mode instead of PIO mode. The problem is, I can't determine which setting the burner is running in because my hardware device manager doesn't list an IDE ATA/ATAPI controller (there should be an icon, according to the information at http://www.onthegosoft.com/dma_setting_nt.htm ) Is there any other way to determine whether my burner drive is running in DMA or PIO mode? I'm working with Windows XP (SP3) Media Center Edition. My burner drive is an Optiarc DVD+-RW AD-7200S. Many thanks in advance. 1 person needs an answerI do too
