As the title suggests, my laptop is having a problem of not able to use the Search option in Charm Bar. The Charm Bar simply closes/hides instantly or sometime it hangs for a while before the Charm Bar closes/hides itself when I click the Search button. I have seen another thread (http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/adafc11b-acb2-4ce6-bfcd-5ee703e2497f/search-charm-not-working-power-options-in-control-panel-not-accesible?forum=w8itproperf) but the Answer there is not helpful at all. I have checked that WSearch service is running. I also tried troubleshoot Search problem but it always returns with no error found.

What is your current situation? Have you tried the solution as arnavsharma mentioned?

Please explain a bit about the following questions:
1.            Have you made any changed before we meet this issue?
2.            After running the command dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth and sfc /scannow, are there any error messages?

Please take the following steps for troubleshooting:
1.            Download and run the Modern User Interface app troubleshooter and check.

2.            Check the event viewer and check if there are any log related to charm bar search.
3.            Check the Windows performance like CPU, Memory and Disk in Task Manager when the charm bar is hang
