Changing default language for Windows 7
I just received Windows 7 (for a launch party) and because I am in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico the disks (both 32 and 64 bit) are in Spanish. My understanding is that Windows 7 Ultimate allows multiple language choices. However, when I start to install the program, the menu which allows me to select a language only has Spanish listed. How do I convert to English? I am an American and the computer I wish to install is running Windows Vista Home Premium in English and it will not allow me to install and keep my file configurations because the language is different. HELP!

As you said, as we have a Spanish Windows 7 installation disk, we will need to convert Windows Vista system to Spanish before using Upgrade option to upgrade it to Windows 7. However we cannot install language pack onto a Windows Vista Home Premium system. Thus we cannot do the upgrade process. As an option, we will need to do a Clean Install to get Windows 7 installed on the computer. Of course it is still in Spanish. As the Windows 7 Party disk should be an Ultimate version, after installing Windows 7, we can go to Region and Language Keyboard and Languages, click Install/Uninstall languages to install the English language pack to convert it to English version.
