Changes from Build to Build
Hi everyone. I have a question. If I have build 7000, and knowing that at this time we are at build 7068, will my build 7000 upgrade through windows update to the new build or should I download the new build and then make a complete system update?? Thank you!! Andres.-

Sorry, but the builds beyond 7000 aren't official Microsoft releases (and aren't supported here). Those people who are able to use those builds have separate support channels available to them (that aren't available here). As for what will happen with the next officially released build, we won't be able to tell about that until it's announced by Microsoft.- John

As usasma says other builds aren't supported here, but the update to the next version will definitely NOT come through Windows update. Whether you choose to upgrade or do a clean install is your choice, but a clean install is the recommended option.Asrock K8NF6P, AMD64 3200+, 1.5GB RAM, Palit Geforce 8400GS 256MB, 500GB Maxtor SataII, Asus 1814BLT optical

Oh, my bad then, I thought all builds were supported, but just not open to normal public, only techs. But still I have my question pending. All the upgrades from build to build, are they being implemented to all the 7000 builds out there? I know a clean install is always the best way to go, but when you spend time installing everything you need and already have the OS configured for what you need and to your liking, it's a drag to go and do it all over again. For the final, I'll go complete fresh install, but I belive that for the upgrade to the RC version, I'll be upgrading. Well anyway, I find Windows 7 to be a rock solid winner! I've completely replaced my primary vista OS to Win 7. I'm in love with the taskbar. Itr just screams out modern power user abilities!! if MS is listening, jeje, great job, can't wait for the official RC release and then the final Release. Thx again folks!!

Thank you very much Ronnie!! I read this blog this morning. I think the best will be to just do a clean install of the RC once it comes out. All the best! Andrs.-
