Thought I was just simply changing user name and picture but now seem to have lost files previous on computer. Set up a new user account, then changed name of administrator account and it's picture. Next time turn computer on and everything different ie. files gone, emails gone etc.1 person needs an answerI do too

This happened to me. The files you thought you lost are in the first user account that you changed from. If you change back to that user account (ex. adminitrator) the files will be there. Now how you transfer those files to the account, I don't have a clue.

if this is windows xp you can find your files in the following location, assuming your installation drive is C:\ c:\Documents and Settings\(oldusername)\Desktop should be fairly trivial to copy them to your new desktop from there. Cheers.
