Hi MikeChui,You should have the administrative privileges to change the computer from a domain to a workgroup. I would suggest you to contact the System Administrator for assistance. However, you may also post your question in the TechNet Windows XP Networking forumHope the information helps.RegardsDebleena SMicrosoft Answers Support EngineerVisit our Microsoft Answers Feedback Forum and let us know what you think.

This problem is covered in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:"You cannot log on after you remove the computer from the domain" < http://support.microsoft.com/kb/317049 >The solution is basically to do a System Restore from a prior date... But that is hard if you can't login. If you can't logon to any local administrator acct and if it is impossible to join it back to the original domain, then you have to resort to measures in the following article, taking care in the last step to do a System Restore from a point before the problem. Caution - this procedure is not for the casual user and doesn't always work."How to recover from a corrupted registry that prevents Windows XP from starting" < http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307545 >In the future, always have an accessible administrator login account local to the machine to easily recover from this eventuality.HTH, JW
